POSITION PURPOSE SUMMARY: Canada remote permanent full time 100,000-110,000 Full benefits and matching RRSP You are presently titled IT Business Readiness Leader/ Change Management.

The Business Readiness Lead will prepare and equip mission partners and impacted stakeholders to receive and adopt change. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing business readiness plans that maximize employee adoption and usage of new capabilities and technology.

Conduct change impact analysis, identify impacted stakeholders, and assess change readiness. Focus on the people side of change, including changes to business process, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The Business Readiness Lead will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact employees and stakeholders.

Business readiness

  • Lead the planning and execution of the business readiness activities for a specified project(s)
  • Conduct change impact analyses, identify impacted stakeholders, and assess change readiness
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance and potential risks.
  • Support the project team to develop stakeholder/partner outreach and engagement efforts to obtain awareness, understanding, buy-in, and support
  • Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs.
  • Conceptualize, coordinate, and prepare client-ready products that meet both the organizational and stakeholder standards and needs
  • Lead consultations, focus groups, workshops, presentations, and meetings with affected stakeholders
  • Deliver change related updates to impacted mission partners and stakeholders
  • Assign change work to supporting resources from the mission, if applicable
  • Provide change assessments, analysis, risks, gaps, recommendations to mission partners
  • Work closely with support functions (Communications, HR, PMO) on the delivery of change plans, activities and materials
  • Act as a change agent and organizational business partner to raise awareness and understanding of the change, providing support to employees and leaders throughout the change journey
  • Lead the development and implementation of new or revised processes, procedures, products, and tools for the impacted areas
  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the change ensuring work completion and reporting on performance progress and metrics
  • Communications
  • Support the design, development, delivery, and management of relevant communications across org
  • Contribute to org internal communications, including the internal websit
  • Draft territory email announcements, design promotional materials, prepare/conduct briefings, and help develop training materials
  • Develop and execute communications materials, such as fact sheets, job aids, instructional guides, Web content, briefings, and presentations
  • Project Management
  • Support the design, development, implementation, and revision of project plans and adhere to established timelines
  • Assist project managers to develop project and user documentation and guides
  • Prepare weekly status reports for your competency
  • Work with the Project Manager in the identification of risks and issues related to your competency
  • Assign tasks as needed to internal teams and assist with schedule management

  • Vendors, impacted stakeholders (e.g., volunteers, beneficiaries, etc.)


  • Reports directly to: Senior Business Readiness Lead
  • Direct reports for this position: None


  • Safekeeping of personal equipment and materials
  • All expenditures related to this project flow through Sr Director, Strategic Capability Planning



Education, Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Completion post-secondary college/degree in organizational design, technology or related field
  • Change Management or behavioural Analysis certifications/degree is an asset
  • Relevant qualification in communications or another relevant field is an asset
  • Project management training/certification/degree is an asset

Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements:

  • 5+ years of employment experience in a communication and/or change management role
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Experience producing organization-wide communications
  • Experience leading communications activities for organizational IT initiatives
  • Experience working with complex technology transformations
  • Experience with continuous improvement and project management approaches, tools, and phases
  • Experience working with diverse cultures
  • Experience in communications, including developing and/or implementing a wide-ranging communications tactics
  • Excellent written communication and editing skills, particularly conveying technical information for diverse audiences
  • Ability to produce inspiring and engaging content
