Social Media Video Producer

The Social Media Video Producer will be an integral part of creating and editing entertaining, informative, and engaging, video content for social media and digital advertising platforms including but not limited to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The Social Media Video Producer will be responsible for quickly ideating, pitching, and delivering video content in order to capitalize on news and social media trends, with an eye toward always increasing brand visibility. In collaboration with the Marketing Team, the Social Media Video Producer will support the distribution and optimization of still graphic content and copywriting.

To succeed in this role, candidates should have a well-developed intuition for viral social media content, especially in a fast-paced environment, coupled with an ambition to grow professionally and creatively.


  • Conceptualize, edit, and optimize native video content for use on social media platforms, including but not limited to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Repurpose video content created by the Production team to promote and maximize the reach of ongoing projects
  • Monitor and research breaking news, social media trends, and developing stories to proactively pitch monetizable and viral video concepts
  • Identify and source high quality clips from press conferences, new hits, speeches, and debates for use in viral videos
  • Iterate versions of videos, as required, to optimize them for different social media platforms
  • Prepare, edit, and integrate captions into all relevant videos to increase engagement
  • Ideate, create, and deliver video and still content in support of paid social media advertising
  • Create static graphics such as thumbnails for use across social media channels to promote videos and increase engagement
  • Properly understand and implement client and partner needs in coordination with the Marketing, Production, and Partner Success Teams
  • Build and maintain and video content calendar that prioritizes brand and marketing objectives in close collaboration with the Marketing Team
  • Support the copywriting for videos when needed, including writing titles and social media posts to maximize their reach
  • Support the distribution and uploading of videos when needed in coordination with the Marketing Team
  • Understand reporting and KPIs in collaboration with the Marketing Team to optimize social media video content for the highest performance
  • Create, maintain, and constantly refresh Abbson’s standards for social media video best practices in coordination with the Marketing Team
  • Ensure all video content complies with community guidelines of social media platforms in coordination with the Marketing Team
  • Ensure that all media files, project files, plugins, fonts, and any other associated project files are stored in Abbson’s file management systems at all times
  • Quality control all marketing video projects to ensure Abbson and client standards of excellence are met
  • Accurately and completely record work performed via daily time logs, attend and participate in all company meetings as required, and process expense reports and vendor invoices per Abbson’s policies
  • Other tasks as assigned


  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a comparable social media video position
  • Accomplished in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
  • Ability to quickly identify successful social media content and present it in a viral way
  • Familiarity with the video marketing process from selecting clips to iterating versions, uploading deliverables, and publishing
  • Storytelling capabilities and creative instincts
  • Knowledge of social media trends and best practices, specifically in relation to video
  • General understanding of video advertising on social media platforms
  • Technical expertise in file management software and techniques
  • Proficient with personal computer operation, Microsoft Office and G Suite
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution of higher education
  • A valid U.S. driver’s license

  • Must be available and willing to travel as required
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs.
