Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associate in New York, New York
Develop Core Infrastructure that involves designing the architecture, developing algorithms, and programming software applications. Develop distributed real-time streaming data pipelines and applications that ingest data from firm’s internal websites. Lead design discussions, design reviews, define test cases, and implement unit and integrations tests while contributing to tools development.
Develop web-based UI and cloud-based applications for automating manual processes. Drive initiatives to onboard tools that track code quality metrics and implement best practices for software development. Design platform changes to implement automated testing and automated deployment. Source, clean, and analyze data using statistical and visualization techniques. Perform release management duties, including running calls, documenting release artifacts, and conducting production deployments and post-turnover testing. Provide support for technical issues, on a rotating basis.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $161,000 and $161,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:
Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, or related occupation in the technology field. Requires five (5) years of experience: SQL; Agile methodology; Statement of Work (SOW); Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM); Unit Test Plan (UTP); Requirement Gathering; and Algorithm design. Requires three (3) years of experience: Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process and Business Requirement Documents (BRD); and MS Visio. Any amount of experience accepted: Python; Equity Trading Business Domain; Jupyter notebook; Pycharm; Git; Linux; Atlassian Jira Tool; Jenkins CI/CD pipelines; Bitbucket; Pandas; and Numpy.
