Receptionist Job in Hamilton

Main Nature of Work: The receptionist is the main interface between the office operation and all residents and clientele outside the office. His/her role is to ensure direct two-way communication with all individuals seeking office assistance, and to provide such assistance using superior customer service skills.

Office: Ensure Knowledge of staff movements in and out. Monitor visitors access and maintain security awareness. Redirect residents and family members concerns, comments and complaints to the charge staff. Receive all incoming phone calls and direct calls accordingly. Post all notices as is necessary. Schedule and support staff meetings and in-service. Receive and organize incoming mail. Tidy and maintain the reception area. Prepare correspondence and documents. Maintain subcontractor Manual for contracts and other supporting documents. Maintain MSDS. Ensure all office duties and functions are carried out in a confidential, efficient , accurate and timely manner, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Schedule appointments. Assist all staff with locating forms for inventory purposes. Make sure the Fire Emergency Binder is up to date with resident information.

Marketing: Facilitate resident move-ins and move-outs. Record and maintain prospect inquiry date

Housekeeping/Personal Support Worker: Assist with all relating documentation. Inform of any emergency matters with regards to resident care. Assist with cueing the residents for meal times.

Dietary: Receiving residents menu orders for the following menu day. Inform the kitchen staff of any special meals or guests. Assist with dining room operations when needed.

8 hour shift
Day shift
Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

Hamilton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:

Front desk: 2 years (preferred)
Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
