About the Team
As a Senior Data Engineer at Fanatics, you will work on projects that impact the highest priorities of our technology roadmap and the business. You will work with the latest technologies and implement systems that are powerful and versatile. You will develop Highly Available applications that will be resilient with seamless recovery.
You will gain experience with modern cloud and data frameworks to build products that improve the experience for our fans, support new site and product launches across the our global business , you will contribute to building a scalable global product and inventory platform.

You will:
Ø Work collaboratively and independently to develop software solutions
Ø Write code to develop new feature sets, solve problems, improve functionality of Fanatics products, sytems, and platforms
Ø Participate in Agile Development schedule
Ø Work on high performance highly available systems that help power our sites
Ø Act as a product owner, fully supporting the development and operation of your platforms

What are we looking for?
Ø Bachelors degree and/or applicable experience in the information technology field.
Ø Experience in programming languages and frameworks like Go, Scala, Java, Python. AWS experience will be a plus.
Ø Experience working with SQL/NoSQL database management systems
Ø Experience implementing large-scale, high availability systems
Ø Good understanding of testing automation
Ø Experience with Agile/Kanban methodology
Ø Technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Ø Pragmatism — you’re biased for action, delivering small pieces that grow over time
Ø Creativity in problem solving & autonomy

You are familiar with or prepared to learn about:
Ø Cloud technologies such as AWS
Ø Infrastructure (as code – Terraform)
Ø Databases/data modeling
Ø Continuous Integration & Delivery
Ø You are capable of learning new topics when unfamiliar
Ø You have a desire to learn and grow, push yourself and your team, and share lessons with others
Ø Plan and execute long term strategies that benefit your team and the product
Ø Excellent written and verbal communication skills
