CBTST (Typing Skill Test): The Next Step
The CBTST is only for the posts that need typing — Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist. It requires a typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi. The test is qualifying in nature, so its marks are not added to the merit list. Please note that 27 November is a tentative date; the final confirmation will come through the official notice. Typing rules and preparation tips are also covered in our RRB NTPC Graduate Typing Test guide.
Eligibility (In Short)
For NTPC UG posts, candidates must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognised board — with at least 50% marks for General/OBC/EWS categories and a simple pass for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
