AIIMS NORCET 11 Choice Filling 2026: Fill Institute Choices Before 6 November 5 PM, Check Steps, Seat List and the No-Edit Rule

AIIMS NORCET 11 Choice Filling 2026 - 10,613 qualified candidates, 2,218 Nursing Officer posts in 27 institutes, last date 6 November 2026 at aiimsexams.ac.in

AIIMS NORCET 11 Choice Filling 2026 has started, and the window is about to close. AIIMS New Delhi has opened the online institute choice filling for NORCET-11 through Notice No. 167/2026 dated 30 October 2026. Candidates who qualified in the NORCET-11 Stage-II examination must log in at aiimsexams.ac.in and submit their institute choices and preference order before 6 November 2026, 5:00 PM. A total of 10,613 candidates (3,152 male and 7,461 female) were declared provisionally qualified in the Stage-II result issued under Notification No. 287/2026 on 9 October 2026. Two rules make this step critical: your choices are taken only once and cannot be changed later, and if you do not fill choices in this window, your claim to the advertised Nursing Officer posts is forfeited. Allocation is made against 2,218 advertised Nursing Officer posts across 27 institutes, as per the Final Seat Position published on the portal on 30 October 2026. How to Fill NORCET 11 Choices — Step by Step

Choice filling is done only on the AIIMS exams portal. Follow these steps carefully, because the submitted list cannot be changed afterwards.

  1. Go to aiimsexams.ac.in and log in with your existing NORCET credentials.
  2. Open your Dashboard. The link for the Online Institute Allocation portal is activated there for qualified and provisionally eligible candidates.
  3. Open the allocation link. The list of participating institutes will be shown on the portal.
  4. Select every institute where you wish to be considered. There is no cap — you may apply to as many institutes as you are eligible for.
  5. Set the order of preference for the institutes you selected, in the same application. Think the order through before you begin (read the no-edit rule below).
  6. Review the complete list once, then submit it before 6 November 2026, 5:00 PM.
  7. After submitting, keep watching your registered email, SMS and the portal — eligibility intimation and all further communication are sent only through these channels.

Cannot see the allocation link? The Online Institute Allocation link appears only for candidates who qualified in Stage-II and were found provisionally eligible on preliminary verification of their registration details. If you qualified but cannot see the link, first check your registered email for the eligibility intimation, and then use the “Raise a Query” option on the portal — do not wait until the last day.

The No-Edit Rule — Read This Before You Submit

The official allocation procedure is absolute on this point, and it is the most important warning in this article:

  • Choices are taken only one time, at the application stage. There is no second round of choice filling for the same stage.
  • No change in preference or choices will be allowed after submission.
  • No correspondence regarding change of preferences will be entertained after the closing date.

In simple words: the institute list and the preference order you submit are final. Decide your order on paper first, keep your documents and eligibility in mind, and only then open the portal.

What Happens If You Skip or Make a Mistake

SituationOfficial consequence
You do not fill choices within the windowYou will not be considered for allocation at all; your claim for the advertised post is forfeited and candidature can be cancelled without notice
You skip an institute (do not select it)You will not be eligible for allocation in that institute, irrespective of your eligibility or rank
You receive an offer but do not accept it in timeYour candidature is forfeited without further notice and the seat is vacated
You accept a post at one instituteYou are not considered for any other institute afterwards
You fail the eligibility check at the allotted instituteYou may not be considered for other institutes you had chosen

The lesson from the table is simple: select every institute you are genuinely willing to join, in your true order of preference. Leaving out an institute “to try later” does not work in NORCET allocation — there is no later for an institute you did not choose.

NORCET 11 Seats — Institute-Wise Vacancies

The advertisement announced 2,218 tentative Nursing Officer posts across 27 institutes. The largest advertised blocks are:

InstituteAdvertised posts
ESIC, New Delhi523
AIIMS Deoghar223
AIIMS Patna201
AIIMS Bhubaneswar197
AIIMS Guwahati188
AIIMS New Delhi121
AIIMS Bilaspur89
AIIMS Avantipora75
NITRD, New Delhi57
AIIMS Bathinda47
JIPMER, Puducherry39
AIIMS Bhopal12

Note that the single largest block is not an AIIMS at all — it is ESIC New Delhi with 523 posts. The participating institutes also include JIPMER Puducherry, CIP Ranchi, CAPFIMS and VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, among others. The institute list shown on the allocation portal, based on the Final Seat Position published on 30 October 2026, is what your allotment is actually calculated against.

Is the total 2,218 or 2,216? Some websites print 2,216. The advertised figure in Notice No. 103/2026 is 2,218 (tentative, and liable to change). For your allotment, only the Final Seat Position on aiimsexams.ac.in matters — check the institute-wise seats on the portal itself and do not rely on any website’s total, including this one.

The 80:20 rule. As per the advertisement, 80% of seats in the participating AIIMS are for female candidates and 20% for male candidates (for example, ESIC’s block is reported as 418 female and 105 male). Male candidates among the 3,152 qualifiers should therefore select a wider list of institutes instead of aiming at only a few top choices.

How Allocation Works — Three Stages

The complete allocation runs online in three stages:

Stage I — Application for institutes. This is the current choice-filling window. Allocation is made on the basis of your eligibility (as per your registration details), your NORCET-11 rank, reservation (if applicable) and the available vacancy — strictly against the choices you submitted.

Stage II — Offer of post. Offers are made institute-wise as per choices, rank, reservation and vacancy. Not accepting an offer within the specified time forfeits your candidature, and accepting an offer at one institute ends your consideration for all others.

Stage III — Acceptance and reporting. You must actively choose the “Accept & wish to Report & Join” option on the portal within the given period, upload scanned copies of your certificates on the allocation portal, and then report to the allotted institute as directed by its Nodal Officer. Not exercising the Accept option in time is treated as a refusal.

AIIMS New Delhi has not announced the dates for the offer and acceptance stages in Notice 167/2026. These windows will be published through the Important Dates link on the allocation portal — check your Dashboard, email and SMS daily after 6 November.

Documents Required After Allotment

Keep these ready now, so that reporting does not get delayed after an offer:

  • NORCET-11 Stage-II result / marks
  • Registration slip of online registration, bearing your signature
  • Admit cards of both Stage-I and Stage-II, with your signature
  • Proof of date of birth / Class 10 certificate
  • Caste certificate or Income & Asset certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS, as applicable)
  • Disability certificate, if PwBD (with extent of disability, from the authorised authority)
  • NOC, if you are currently working in a Central/State/PSB/PSU body
  • Proof of essential educational qualification (degree/diploma/certificate) with proof of the date of result declaration
  • Registration certificate as Grade “A” Nurse/Midwife from the State/Indian Nursing Council
  • Experience certificates (for GNM holders) clearly showing the number of beds of the hospital and the duration of experience
  • Copy of a government-issued ID card
  • Any other certificate required by the respective institute

How to Contact AIIMS for a NORCET 11 Query

Notice 167/2026 is clear: all queries must be raised only through the “Raise a Query” option on the portal. The notice does not publish any phone number or email helpline for choice filling, and it states that no correspondence will be entertained after the closing date and time (6 November 2026, 5:00 PM). If something looks wrong in your Dashboard or eligibility status, raise the query today — not on the last day.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the last date for AIIMS NORCET 11 choice filling 2026?

The last date is 6 November 2026, up to 5:00 PM. Choice filling opened on 30 October 2026 under Notice No. 167/2026 on aiimsexams.ac.in. No correspondence is entertained after the deadline.

Can I change or edit my NORCET 11 choices after submitting?

No. Under the official allocation procedure, choices are taken only once, no change in preference is allowed after submission, and no request for a change is entertained after the closing date. Review your list carefully before you submit.

What happens if I do not fill choices in NORCET 11?

You will not be considered for allocation in any institute. The official procedure treats non-application as no application — your claim for the advertised post is forfeited and your candidature can be cancelled without notice.

How many institutes can I choose in NORCET 11 choice filling?

There is no cap. You may apply to as many institutes as you desire and are eligible for — but you must distinctly select each institute and set your preference order in the same application. Skipping an institute means you can never be allotted there.

How many total seats are there in NORCET 11 — 2,218 or 2,216?

The advertisement (Notice 103/2026) announced 2,218 tentative posts across 27 institutes. A few websites print 2,216. Allotment is calculated against the Final Seat Position published on aiimsexams.ac.in on 30 October 2026, so rely on the institute-wise seats shown on the portal.

Why can I not see the Online Institute Allocation link in my Dashboard?

The link is activated only for candidates who qualified in Stage-II and were found provisionally eligible after preliminary verification of registration details. Check your registered email for the eligibility intimation; if you believe you are eligible, raise a query on the portal immediately.

Which login details are needed for NORCET 11 choice filling?

Log in at aiimsexams.ac.in with the same credentials you used for your NORCET registration and result. The Online Institute Allocation link is available inside your Dashboard.

What if I get an offer from an institute I do not want?

If you do not accept the offer within the specified time, your candidature is forfeited and the seat is vacated. If you accept it and opt to join, you will not be considered for any other institute. This is why your preference order must list only institutes you are willing to join, in your true order.

When will the NORCET 11 allocation or offer result be announced?

AIIMS has not announced the offer date in Notice 167/2026. The Stage-II (offer) and Stage-III (acceptance and reporting) windows will be published through the Important Dates link on the allocation portal. Check your Dashboard, registered email and SMS regularly after 6 November 2026.

How can I contact AIIMS for a NORCET 11 choice filling query?

Only through the “Raise a Query” option on the portal. Notice 167/2026 does not provide a phone number or email helpline for this process, and no correspondence is entertained after 6 November 2026, 5:00 PM.

Disclaimer: This article is based on AIIMS Notice No. 167/2026 (30 October 2026), Notification No. 287/2026 and Advertisement No. 103/2026. Candidates must verify all details on the official website aiimsexams.ac.in before submitting their choices.
