CG State Power Company Eligibility Criteria 2026

Age limit. Age is counted as on 1 January 2026. The minimum age is 21 years for most Class-II posts and for Assistant Law Officer, Assistant Industrial Relation Officer, Stenographer, Data Entry Operator, Assistant Pharmacist and Assistant Staff Nurse; it is 18 years for Junior Engineer, the other paramedical posts, Attendant (Plant) Gr. III and Fire Attendant Gr. II. For Chhattisgarh domicile candidates the upper limit is generally 40 years for UR-Male and 45 years for UR-Female and SC/ST/OBC candidates. Two exceptions matter: Fire Officer and Sub Fire Officer cap UR-Male at 30 years (35 for others), and Fire Attendant Gr. II caps UR-Male at 25 years (30 for others). For Assistant Engineer, Shift Chemist, Programmer, Accounts Officer, Medical Officer, Fire Officer and Security Officer, candidates from other states can apply with a maximum age of 30 years. Including all relaxations, the maximum age limit is 45 years. Ex-Servicemen get relaxation as per Chhattisgarh government rules.

Who can apply. Class-III and Class-IV posts are for Chhattisgarh domicile candidates only. Class-II posts are open to candidates from other states as well, with the 30-year maximum age limit noted above. Reservation follows GAD, Government of Chhattisgarh Circular No. F 13/1/2023/A.P./1-3 dated 3 May 2023, subject to the final outcome of SLP (C) 19668/2022 in the Supreme Court. There is 30% horizontal reservation for Chhattisgarh-domicile women, and Ex-Servicemen get 10% horizontal reservation in Class-III and 20% in Class-IV, for Chhattisgarh domicile candidates only. PwD reservation follows CSPTCL Order No. 550319/2026 dated 30 July 2026.

Common conditions. (1) Engineering applicants for Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer may apply for only one branch. (2) One application is allowed per branch-wise post.
